Welcome to the Friends of Birk Hill section.

Who we are

A group of Mums, Dads, Step Mums, Step Dads, Carers, Teachers, non-teaching staff, family and friends with one common interest – the children at Birk Hill.

Why we are here

We want to do as much as we can for all of the children at Birk Hill and by combining our efforts, we can achieve great results.

How, where and when

We meet at Birk Hill approximately once every term to discuss ways in which the group can work with the staff for the benefit of the children. Meetings are reasonably short and informal.

What we have accomplished

One of the main aims of the group is to raise funds for the school. With the generous support of the parents, teachers, local businesses and others, we have organized various discos, parties and other events. We also help with visiting book fairs and at Coffee Mornings etc. The money raised has allowed us to provide various extras including; gifts at Christmas and Easter, play equipment for classrooms and the fantastic new playground equipment, ipads, jigsaws, books and many other items.

How you can help

Support the school and the children by getting involved with events – the group is always grateful for any amount of help from parents. We welcome new faces and ideas – if you are unable to attend meetings but are willing to contribute in some way, please contact the Main School Office.
